The Three United Once Again
It was a great day. My good friend Brian (Vladimirkress) has rejoined the
splintered group of the Net-Party. It has been many years since we've been
together and we had a good time playing Battlefield 1942. Unfortunately I don't
have any screen shots to share. We're planning one for November and I hope to
get back in the swing of things. (10/19/02)
June 2001 Net Party Posted
Changed the format a bit. Instead of having everything mixed together for the games we played and what
happened at the net-party. I split them. Now games will be on a separate page and the net-party
events
will be on another. The games we played well...Tribes 2 and Serious
Sam. I think there was another one, but I
can't remember. (6/16/01)
Serious
Sam will lead June Net Party
I read enough good things about this game to have to try it for the Net Party
this Saturday. I
read how it's co-operative, has a dozens of monsters attacking you at the same
time, and has some cool weapons. So I'm sold. I told Pezboy about it and he should
be pretty excited. I played the training mission and it seems hard. :-( (6/6/01)
Miss Bad Retired?
I always try to people to come to the Net-party, mostly people that I know. I haven't opened my doors
to strangers yet. All of them have come up with some sort of excuse or are just too busy or far away. It
was great to have my Fiancé, Karen, play Unreal, Tribes 2, and Quake 2. She played to make
me happy, but
I don't want her to do that. I want her to enjoy it as well. So the Net-party is down to two. I never really considered it a Net-Party with
just two people, even with three, but it was nice while it lasted.
I always think of these games as something more than just blowing each other
up and trying to get a flag back. I think of them as an interaction between
people, people working together toward something. I play online a lot more now
since I got cable, but the games are chaotic, no one plans anything, and the
interaction is reduced to "I own this map." scrolling fifty times on
the screen. (5/6/01)
