I was excited to have a new version of Post-it notes. You can have different fonts, type faces, colors, images in your notes. You can even send them over a network and share them and memo boards with other co-workers. It's all good, now it has memo boards with multiple tabs, backgrounds, and more post-it colors.

I ran into one major problem, all my imported notes from 1.5 are gone, they didn't appear in an imported notes memo board or even on my desktop.

One nice feature of this version is the bulleted note, so you can create to-do lists from a template or just set the font. I had problems with this too. I couldn't hi-light the text and change it to a bulleted list. Trying to insert rows caused all the bullets to disappear. Lastly, I couldn't change an existing note to a bulleted list. I felt something else was missing, a shortcut to strike through, so you can mark items off the list that are done or make them check boxes instead of bullets.

Hyperlinks are also clickable in this version, which is great for me, since I can write down the sites I want to review, include the link, and go back to it when I'm ready for a post. You can also drag and drop from the Internet Explorer and Netscape Communicator to copy a link to an "always on top" Post-it Note.

I like the templates feature, you can create contact notes, left a message notes, almost anything you want. I had ID notes with my logo and different color. Later thought that a little excessive, but dismissed it pretty quick. I like my notes.

Some of the office features, send a important message to a user on the network, share memo boards. It would of been nice to share notes over the Internet, but it's only for TCP/IP Networks.

If you do upgrade, move all your desktop post-its into a memo board or you might lose them like I did. (7/4/99)
